Sustainable Catering Guide - Stego provides hundreds of Continuing Education and Training presenta tions to design professionals, contractors, and building owners every year. Often, these presentations are done over lunch. Our Sustainable Catering Guide is made available to firms we collaborate with and used by our team with the goal of reducing food/packaging waste, as well as carbon emissions by using local food providers. Fuel Efficiency Program - Stego’s workforce relies on personal vehicles for commuting — particularly our remote Sales team, who provide sales and installation related support to the industry. Since 2016, Stego has offered a cash bonus to employees when purchasing or leasing a new vehicle, with average fuel efficiency at or above a defined level, with variable increases based on the vehicle’s fuel efficiency. It is an employee perk with an added benefit to help potentially reduce the fossil fuel consumption and emissions of our team. Remote Workforce - Even before the COVID pandemic, the majority of Stego’s team worked remotely from a home office. There have been many benefits to this model, but one is certainly the reduction in carbon emissions in working from home compared to traditional office commuting. Other Operational Highlights (Company Headquarters): ° LED lighting throughout ° Recycle all paper and cardboard waste with recycle bins in all offices and common areas ° Monthly printer ink recycling ° Quarterly e-waste recycling ° Designated carpool parking ° Nightly power shut down ° Sustainable office supply purchasing ° Quarterly HVAC service including air filter change ° Low-flow toilets (American Standard 1.6gpf) 1 Equivalency conversions source: https://www.epa.gov/energy/greenhouse-gas-equivalencies-calculator
